Description
In recent years, thermoelectric cooling (TEC) systems have found widespread use, especially in applications requiring low cooling capacity. Their simple structures without moving parts, low power requirements, and ease of maintenance make these systems advantageous compared to traditional vapor-compression refrigeration cycles. In this study, the air conditioning performance of a thermoelectric module was experimentally investigated. In the installation, by keeping the air flow rate delivered to the cabin constant, the cooling performances of the simple (reference) and radiator-added configurations were comparatively analyzed. In this context, the inlet and outlet temperatures of the ambient air passing through a thermally insulated cooling cell were measured instantaneously. In light of the obtained experimental data, the coefficient of performance (COP) values for both configurations were calculated and evaluated separately based on the system's thermal load and electrical power consumption.
